As a writer, producer, actress, and self-professed ‘web geek,’ Taryn’s online videos have received more than 100 million hits and earned her both a Spike TV Guy’s Choice Award and a IAWTV and Streamy Best Actress nomination.

On TV, she recently served as a correspondent on FOX’s The X-Factor, as well as the weekly host of the official online pre-show, and played the recurring role of Allison the CBS series Rules of Engagement, opposite Adhir Kalyan and David Spade.

Taryn has sold two television shows based on web concepts. In 2006, she executive produced and starred in Project MyWorld, a travel series on DirecTV, and in 2009, she sold her web series Private High Musical, to MTV and developed the project as a half-hour musical comedy pilot with veteran Family Guy/American Dad writer/producer David Zuckerman.

Her online work includes: a starring role in Warner Brothers first original series, Sorority Forever, a daily show on Cosmopolitan.com, Sony Crackle’s Woke Up Dead, a weekly sketch comedy show on Heavy.com, and featured sketches and series with Funny or Die, YouTube’s The Station, TVGuide.com, Reveille, MSN, MySpace, Atom.com, and more. In 2010, Taryn co-wrote and produced ‘Touch a Tit, Save a Tit,’ a viral breast cancer campaign that starred Minka Kelly, Emily Deschanel, Alyson Hannigan, Jaime King, and Kat McPhee. In 2011, Taryn signed the first ever first-look deal for online content with Break Media and was host of Hotspot, a weekly branded series for Blackberry and Electus, and Broke Girl’s Guide, a weekly guide to fashion on a budget.

In the feature world, you can see Taryn in Comedy Central’s Senior Skip Day and Deep In The Valley (on Netflix and DVD) with Scott Caan and Denise Richards. She recently completed roles in the Sony film Battle: Los Angeles, slated to release in March 2011 (starring Aaron Eckhart and Michelle Rodriguez), the indie drama Pound of Flesh alongside Malcom McDowell, Dewana’s Bridal alongside Jaime King, Selma Blair, and Jamie Lynn Sigler, and the indie comedy The Frankenstein Brothers alongside Scott Patterson (NBC’s THE EVENT) and Zelda Williams. Currently, Taryn is busy editing The Co-Op, a film that she wrote, produced, and starred in.

As a host, Taryn has worked consistently on G4′s Attack of the Show and TVGuide’s Hollywood 411, as well as co-hosted the The Golden Globes Post Show with Nick Cannon on NBC, The Young Hollywood Awards for Showtime, and The Grammys for CBS. She has hosted a handful of pilots for MTV, and continues to host live premieres (i.e. Sex and the City 2, Avatar, Twilight, Get Him To the Greek, etc) for studios such as New Line, Warner Brothers, and Disney, and their various online partners.

In 2008, Taryn won a Spike TV Guy’s Choice Award and made CNN’s Most Influential Viral Videos of the Year list for her online videos. She has also been featured in USA Today, Maxim, Variety, Hollywood Reporter, People, Christian Science Monitor, Script Magazine, and been a guest on shows like CNN, Fox and Friends, Red Eye, MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews, The Insider, and Entertainment Tonight.
